This original Cardinal design was completely created in-studio from line drawing to printing.  The image was made into a screen through the photo-emulsion process in my DIY studio, then hand painted and printed using organic ink onto 100% cotton. 

The backdrop is a mix of batik cloth from Africa and my own tree design. The cardinal is then free-motion machine stitched using my raw-edged creative technique which promotes 'growth' and change as it continues to fray over time as you wear it. Only three made of this design and fabric.
